NetSuite Pricing

Cutting your software costs

I want to help you save money and I am never going to ask you for anything in return.

Every year I save thousands of pounds by not spending any money on software. I discovered there was a better way as a result of being frustrated by NetSuite pricing being out of my range. Just like me You can now do most of the key tasks in your business using software that costs zero. Most MBA’s will not know this. Every small business owner I have talked to in the last three weeks didn’t know about the mass of free software available on the internet.

These are the simple steps I have followed to cut my software costs.

  • Use ten minutes of your day looking for the free software tools.
  • Capture the detail of everything you find (and your experiences) on Evernote.com ($0).
  • Ten minutes at the end of each day trying out what you find.

Keep this up for just four weeks and you will have a really good selection of free tools you can use to get things done in your business. To get what I am talking about here try these tools now, I use then all the time and they work well.

Just to be clear what I have done below is listed the software you will have to pay for on the right hand side of the page (these are names you will have definitely heard of, the point here is to make your understanding of what each tool does) and on the left I have listed the free software.

Here we go:

Just type the name of the free product to the search engines

One system to manage customers and accounting

salesorder.com pricing: free NetSuite pricing - really expensive

Sorry I couldnt resist this one…

Creating and writing Documents

Google Docs pricing: $0 Microsoft Office pricing - at least $100

Or

OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org)

Sharing ideas online

Bubbl.us pricing: $0 Mindjet pricing - at least $200

Making videos

Jing pricing: $0 Camtasia Studio pricing - at least $300

Teleseminars

DimDim pricing: $0 AdobeConnect pricing - at least $200/month

My thanks to the NetSuite pricing incident for the inspiration to write this up and help you out.

More soon…

How To Start A Profitable Internet Business From Home

Written by MichaelZ on July 30, 2009 – 2:09 pm -

Starting a profitable Internet business from home is fast becoming a new version of the American dream. I mean, who doesn’t want to be able to ditch the boss, the commute, and all the attendant worries about the economy sucking your job into some black hole of failed companies. We’ve all seen the names of companies we grew up with either laying thousands off or disappearing altogether, and there are no guarantees.
This is why more than ever people are trying to find something they can do for themselves, independent of others. All of us need money, and these days you have to be pretty wily if you’re going to figure out ways to get ahead. Starting an Internet business from home would be one good place to start.
There are many possible ways you can go about starting an Internet business from home. There are a plethora of options, from selling your own products, to selling the products of others, or offering services over the Web. With the world at our fingertips, you have a built-in audience 24/7 you can pitch to. It’s nothing short of amazing what we can now create from the comfort of our living rooms!
The best way to start out is to consider the skills you bring to the table. Very likely the skills that made you marketable in the offline world will work just as well online.  Devise a plan to start your own business, and then let nothing stand in your way. Nearly every small business, whether online or off, fails not because of the business itself, but because of a lack of persistent action.
There are many millions of people on the Web searching for services and goods that you might be able to give them. Why not let your Internet business from home get them what they need, and help you make some cash in the process?
